The medical coding program prepares students to enter the profession of medical coding in the physician and hospital environment. Students will learn from a trained professional the importance and fundamentals of proper coding to execute the financial goals of major medical practices. Students will prepare for taking the AAPC: CPC certified professional coder. There are no outside externships required. Students will complete a required number of simulation hours in the computer lab. The class will meet two nights a week on campus and utilize an online learning system. Must have access to the internet outside of class.

  • Initial AAPC membership
  • The certification exam for CPC/CPC-A
  • All medical coding books required for class
  • Online and in-class lab instructors
  • All lab and online fees
  • Lapel pin after certification
  • Program certificate of completion (From OTC Only)
  • All lab simulation fees
  • Practice certification exams/review book

There is no refund to the student unless CWD Allied Health cancels the program. If the student withdrawals prior to the start of the program, a fee of $250 will be charged.
