CCMA Testing Audience:

CCMA Testing is designed for those students who have recently completed a medical assistant program within the last three (3) months or those students who need to re-test for their certification due to being unsuccessful with their first attempt.

It is strongly recommended that those who did not take OTC’s program take WDH-550 Non-Comprehensive, which includes the exam, along with study materials and a sample test.

CCMA Testing Prerequisites:

Must have completed a medical assisting program within the past three (3) months: Student must provide proof of completion

Student must have been unsuccessful in their first attempt of certification with the National HealthCareer Association (NHA). Student will have completed the program through Ozarks Technical Community College (OTC) either in the Non-Comprehensive (WDH-550) or the Comprehensive (WDH-500) program and be scheduling a re-test.

Students can only retake the certification exam three (3) times a year with a 30-day wait between each attempt.
After the third attempt, the student must wait a full year before re-testing.
